第一篇章：勉励篇——回望点滴
首先由中方屠桂芳校长发表了“强大内心 砥砺前行”的致辞，屠校长语重心长的告诫每一位学生要有担当，有责任感，希望他们能够带着这份责任感闯出属于自己的一片天地。

The age of 18 is like a flower. On behalf of our school, I warmly congratulate you on joining the ranks of the adult citizens of the People's Republic of China, and express our heartfelt thanks to teachers and parents!
18岁，梦一样的岁月。成人，意味着心理、生理都趋向成熟。今天，我们共同为亲爱的青年朋友们祝福、加油。
The age of 18 is like a dream. Adulthood means that both psychology and physiology tend to be mature. Today, we jointly bless and encourage our dear young friends.
在十三中的校园里，青年朋友们该有怎样的心态和行动呢？我有三点期待：
What kind of mentality and action should the young friends from Nanjing No.13 High School have? I have three expectations:
一要富有责任心，做读书的主人。有了责任心，生活就有了真正的含义和灵魂。读书是做学生的第一责任。当你读书不精而走入社会，你会发现自己就像一个赤手空拳的士兵，面对命运的强敌，你会因为没有护身铠甲而遍体鳞伤，毫无还手之力。
Firstly, be full of responsibility and be a master to read books. With a sense of responsibility, the real meaning and soul of life will appear. Reading is the first responsibility for students. If you have bad grades, you will feel yourself like a bare-handed soldier after entering the society. In the face of strong enemy fate, you will be black and blue as well as defenceless because of no protection.
二要富有爱心，做自己的主人。爱心就是但丁心目中“美德的种子”，爱心就是梵高期待的“爱之花开放的地方，生命便能欣欣向荣”， 爱心就是让你“活出个好模样”，成为“最好的自己”。
Secondly, be a person with a loving heart and your own master. Love is just "The Seed of Virtue" in the heart of Dante. It means that "life can be thriving in a place with the blooming flower of love" in the heart of Van Gogh. It is to let you live better to make you the best you can be.
三要富有决心，做意志的主人。中国有句谚语“山高高不过脚心，山硬硬不过决心”，正如雨果所说“最大的决心会产生最高的智慧”。成长就是一场坚守目标、坚持意志的自我修行。
Thirdly, be determined to be the master of will. There is a Chinese saying going like this: The highest mountain can't be higher than your feet, and the hardest mountain can't be harder than your determination. As Hugo said: "The greatest determination can cause the highest wisdom". Growth is a kind of self-improvement to adhere to the goal and the will.
在十三中的校园里，青年朋友们该面对梦想呢？我有三点忠告：
一就是既能喊出豪言壮语，又能脚踏实地行动的人；
二就是既能面对进步和微笑，又能正视困难和挫折的人；
三就是既知道感恩，又能做出业绩的人。
For the young friends from Nanjing No.13 High School, how to treat dreams? I have three pieces of advice:
Firstly, be able to shout out heroic utterance and down-to-earth;
Secondly, able to be faced with progress and smile and bravely faced with difficulties and setbacks;
Thirdly, be grateful and make achievements
美国的邓肯教授说过：“ 21世纪人类最好的教育，不是现在西方的教育，也不是现在东方的教育。谁能够把东方最好的和西方最好的组合在一起，谁就站上了21世纪人类最好教育的制高点”。
As Professor Duncan from the US said, "The best education in the Twenty-first Century is neither the Western education nor the Eastern education. The person who can combine the best of the East with that of the West stands at the top of the best education in the Twenty-first Century.
我们在十三中接受中加融通的国际高中教育，这是一种路径选择，是一种人生机遇，更是一种难得的校园情。
We receive the international high school education with the Chinese and Canadian features, which is a path choice, a life opportunity, and even a rare campus feeling.
同学们，作为一个成人，我们就必须担当责任，学会成长，爱拼才会赢。内心的感受，映射着人的逐步成熟；行动的自觉，才映射着人的真正成熟。
Our classmates, as adults, must take responsibility, learn to grow and understand the adage "No pain, no gain". In the feeling in the heart, the gradual maturity of people can be reflected. Only in the self-consciousness, their real maturity can be showed.

It is my honour to be with you here today to celebrate this special occasion as we mark your passing into adulthood. Speaking on behalf of all the Canadian teachers you have worked with over past three years, we congratulate you and wish you well as you continue to grow and learn.
今天我很荣幸地站在这里，与大家共同庆祝你们成人的这一特殊时刻。我代表所有与你们在过去三年中一起共同努力的加方老师，祝贺你们的成年并且祝愿你们能够学业顺利，更好成长。
Becoming an adult is an exciting time in you life. A transition in life that comes with many new responsibilities.
成年，是你们人生中一个激动人心的时刻，是你们人生的过渡阶段，同时，成年也意味着你们会有更多新的责任。
In only a few months, you will be leaving home and the protection your family has provided you with for the last 18 years. You will become responsible for making all the choices and decisions in your life as you continue your studies in Canada. You will be responsible for determining the path you take.
在未来的短短数月，你们就将离家远行，也将离开在过去的十八年中，家人给予你们的保护。你们会在加拿大继续你们的学业，但是今后你们做出的任何选择和决定都需要你们自己负责。只有你能决定你自己的路。
You will face challenges, but we are confident that you will be able to overcome any obstacles with the same determination and hard work you have shown in your studies here at our school.
你们未来将会面对各种挑战，但是我们对你们有信心，我们相信你们会和在十三中学习一样，用你们的决心和努力，去勇敢的克服，任何困难。
One of the greatest responsibilities of an adult is being a model for our youth. As adults, teachers and school leaders strive to model and guide our students in how to be life long learners and make valuable contributions to our society.
你们作为成年人，现在最大的责任就是为你们的后辈最好榜样。我们这些老师同样是成年人，也在尽力成为你们的榜样。我们努力的引导你们，怎样才能成为一个能终身学习的人，怎样才能成为一个为社会奉献自己价值的人。
This is a great responsibility. You are now adults in our school community. You are the teachers, the role models, the ones showing the way for the other students in our school.
成年就意味着要负有责任。在今天这个盛大的典礼上，寓意着你们已经成年了。你们对于学校的其他学生来说，也可以是他们老师，也是他们学习的榜样，是能为他们指明道路的人。
Our Sr. 1 and Sr. 2 students look to you and the path you have taken as a model for them to achieve their own educational goals. They see the effort and hard work that you are putting in to your classes as a measure of the work that they need to do.
高一、高二的同学们会向你们看齐，并把你们选择的路当作他们未来努力的目标。他们会因为看到你们投入的学习和努力，来激励自己的学习。
As we finish this year of study it is important for you to recognize this new responsibility. Continue to work hard, be diligent in your studies, and continue to put forth the effort that has gotten you to this point.
当你们完成了这一年的学习以后，会有更加重要的任务等待着你们去完成。请继续认真刻苦的完成任务，继续坚持不懈的学习，在努力的道路上持续前行，永不止步。

It is truly an honour and privilege today to give a speech on the Coming of Age ceremony of Senior 3 students on behalf of all Canadian staff. 今天很荣幸能代表全体教师在高三年级学生成人礼上致辞。
There are times that we all wonder about time, how fast we age and how it relates to our life planning.
有时候我们会感叹时间飞逝，岁月更迭，也会明白各个阶段的人生都不尽相同。
You think of yourself and how you finished kindergarten, elementary school and now high school.
Your parents have a different memory, when you were born, started to speak, started to walk, started learning and now finishing high school.
你会回想自己是怎样度过幼儿园，小学，直到现在的高中。而你们的家长则有着不同的回忆，从你们第一次开口说话，学会走路。开始学习，到现在即将完成高中学业。
It is a proud moment for both you and your parents as you enter adulthood and see yourself in a new cloak and role. This brings a lot of excitement, sense of independence and at the same time uncertainty.
对于你和你们的父母来说这是一个值得骄傲的时刻，因为当你们步入成年，也就进入了一个新的世界，有了新的角色。你们会感到激动，会变得更加独立，同时也会有很多不确定性。
You may wonder what is ahead, what life looks like next year and how you cope with new responsibilities, encounters and upcoming events. Few things are certain at least.
你也许会思考未来是什么，明年的生活会是怎样的，以及你如何应对新的责任、困难和即将到来的一切。现实中，很多事情都充满着未知。
You know that you have to act much more maturely and professionally. Next year, you will head to a new country and this will be a really good litmus test to your adulthood entry.
你们要表现得更加成熟和稳重。明年，你们将前往一个新的国家，对于你们来说，这将是你们步入成年以后的一次很好的测试。
You have to manage everything by yourself, from your courses, finances, friendships and professional relationships to more intimate and romantic ones you may forge.You have many opportunities to seize, learn, make mistakes and grow as an adult.
你们要自己管理一切，从课程、财务、友谊、工作乃至更加亲密的人际关系。你有很多机会去抓住、学习，会犯错误，更会长大成人。
In this sense, adulthood is different from childhood or adolescence because you become more autonomous, decisions are yours and it influences the course of your life ahead.
从这个意义上来说，成人与童年或青春期不同，因为你会变得更加自主，会自己做决定，并且可能会影响你的未来。
We are living in an ever changing world where borders, movements, interactions and sense of personal and collective identities are constantly changing.
我们生活在一个不断变化的世界中，边界、运动、交互以及个人和集体的身份都在不断变化。
This is huge opportunity for all of you entering your adulthood at this time seeing the enormous changes and your chance to live an impact on it.When it comes to leave your mark, sky is the limit.
你们步入了成年，这将是一个很好的机会。你们会看到自己巨大的变化以及其他方面的影响。当你离开你的标记时，天空是你的极限。
Your parents, friends, countrymen and even people who live in every corner globe are watching, your actions and decision do matter, so think and dream big and follow your path judiciously.你的父母，朋友，同伴，甚至生活在世界每一个角落的人，都在看着这个世界，你的行动和决定很重要，所以思考并追随你的梦想吧。
In the end, I finish this speech by sharing with you a quote from Hank Green who is a well-known American online educator.
最后，我想用一位美国著名教育家Hank Green的名言来结束我的发言。
He said “Being silly is still allowed, not excluded by adulthood. What's excluded by adulthood is thoughtlessness, so be thoughtful and silly”.His insight into this stage of our lives is quite noteworthy.
他说：“成年人可以犯傻，但不能凡事都不经过思考。要学会思考，允许一时的犯傻，这对我们人生的这个阶段是非常有意义的。
On one hand, he calls us as an adult to be responsible, visionary, compassionate and not afraid of taking any risk;and on the hand, he cautions us that in our decision-making and encounters, we use common-sense, discretion and critical thinking to ensure a productive adulthood.
一方面，他说成年人，要有责任感，有远见，有同情心，不怕冒险； 另一方面，他告诫我们，在决策和困难中我们要运用常识、判断力和批判思维，使成熟的人生更有成效。

第二篇章：感恩篇——恩情在心
十八年的时光里，家长们无微不至的照顾学生，为了学生辛苦的付出，一直陪伴着学生成长。同时，家长们也在学生成长的过程中，收获一些感动。
亲子互动环节，家长们为自己的孩子庄严的带上成人徽章，表达出对孩子未来的美好祝愿。随后，当主持人宣布所有同学深深拥抱自己的父母的时候，在场的很多家长和学生都激动落泪。同学们将表达自己深深情感的感谢信郑重地放在了家长们手中，在读信时，家长们泪水打湿了双眼，难掩内心激动之情。
家长们在读过学生送给自己的感谢信后深有感触，纷纷想要表达自己的心情。钟声妈妈首先发言，她含着泪水说：“时间过得很快，孩子也成年了，看到他如今已经长成了大男子汉我很欣慰，也很感谢学校的老师们一直以来对钟声的照顾和关怀。”接着，骆子涵、杜语家长也都表达了自己的激动心情。
三年的时间，每一位老师也格外辛苦，学生们也为老师们写了自己的感谢信，主持人在感谢信箱里随机抽取了一封信，是一封写给高三15班吴浩老师的信。吴老师在读过学生给她写的感谢信之后，他说：“拿到学生们给我写的信，我很感动，三年的时光里我和同学们既是师生也是朋友，希望他们成年以后，能更有担当，能为家人多分担一些事情。”
高三17班王清睿的妈妈作为家长代表发言，不仅表达了对学校的感谢，还表达了对高三学生们的期盼和祝愿。

the so said parents and children relationship only means that you are destined to see him walking away further and further. and the back shadow of his figure tells you silently: never chase forward.
孩子们，今天，当我们目送你们跨进成人大门之际，请放慢脚步，爸爸妈妈还有些话要叮嘱：
Dear students, before you step into the adult gate, please slowing down, cause we have something to tell you.

还有不到半年的时间你们就要远离父母亲人，远离家乡去异国求学。
You will learning abroad and get away from your parents relatives and home town in less than half a year.

尊敬的老师、同学和各位家长，下午好。
我很荣幸能代表全体高三学生在成人礼上发言。
时间过的飞快，一转眼，我们已经是十八岁的成年人了。十八岁，意味着什么？
它意味着成熟，我们在这个年龄应当懂得思考人生，适应社会；它意味着独立，我们在这个年龄应当告别依赖，独自面对各种挑战；它意味着责任，我们在这个年龄应当有为社会负责的勇气，为生活担当的精神。
十八岁，还意味着感恩。我们应当感恩父母把我们带到这个世界，并给予我们关心与呵护，让我们在爱的世界里成长。我们应当感恩老师含辛茹苦的教育我们，给予我们知识，帮助我们实现未来的梦想。
在十三中的这三年，是我们从一个青少年到成人的转折点，是走出国门的基石。高一时，在炎热夏日下的艰苦军训让我们磨练的意志。在高一结束的那个暑假，我们一起出国游学，虽然就短短半个月，也锻炼了我们独立生活的能力。高二时，我们与普高不一样的学农，让我们学会了与人合作。还有每年圣诞节的才艺演出，更是培养了我们敢于表现自我的能力。所以说，在这高中三年里，我们学到不仅仅是知识，我们还学到了作为一个优秀的成年人应该具备的能力与品质，而这些将会对我们的未来有着极大的帮助。
再过几个月我们就要出国了，虽然告别我们父母与老师，但请你们相信，我们会迈好我们成人道路的第一步，开启独立艰苦的大学生活。

Dear teachers, students and all the parents, good afternoon.
I am honored to be the student delegate and give a speech on the Coming of Age Ceremony.
The time flies faster. We are already been the eighteen years old adults. However, what does eighteen years old mean?
It means mature. When we are eighteen years old, we should think about our life and try to adapt to society. We should also become independent and face the challenge by ourselves. What’s more, we should have the courage to be responsible for the society and the life.
Eighteen years old also means gratitude. We should be grateful to our parents, that they take us to this world and give us care. As a result, we can grow up in a world which is full of love. We should also be grateful to our teachers, that they work so hard to teach us so much knowledge and help us realize our dreams.
These three years that we spent in No.13 Middle School was a turning point for us to become adults from teenagers, and it was also a cornerstone for us to go abroad. When we were senior one students, we joined in the hard military training, that built up our willpower.
Then, in the summer vacation of senior one, we went to Canada and spent half of a month to study and live there. It trained our ability of living independently. Next,when we were senior two, we took part in the unique farm training, that taught us how cooperate with others.
What’s more, we have the Christmas performance every year, that practices our ability of self-expression. As a result, during these three years, we not only learn a lot of knowledge, but we learn abilities and qualities of being the excellent adults which are really helpful for our future.
Few months later, we will go aboard. We will leave our parents and teachers, but try to believe us that we will successfully take the first step on the way of being adults and start our university life independently.
Finally, thank you to our parents and teachers. Thank you to everyone who grew up with us. Thank you everyone.
第三篇章：责任篇——砥砺前行
感动过后，全体高三国际班的同学走上舞台，面对国旗庄严宣誓，铿锵有力的誓言响彻舞台，“我是中华人民共和国公民，在十八岁成年之际，面对国旗、庄严宣誓：我立志成为有理想、有道德、有文化、有纪律的社会主义公民。……艰苦创业，奋斗终生！”。
第四篇章：青春篇——青春万岁
为了更好地纪念自己成年的时刻，全体高三的学生们按照15班、16班和17班的顺序，伴着《青年友谊圆舞曲》的旋律跳起舞蹈，用轻快的舞步展现着他们青春的活力，用自己最美的笑脸，欢庆着他们这个重要的时刻。
